My Favorite Candles.

Michelle Pulman

With the holidays quickly approaching, I wanted to share a roundup of some of my favorite candles. Each of these have incredible scents and really help to make your home feel (and smell) special. I don't think we go a night without burning at least one of these! Read on for my top recommendations and where you can score each.

First up: Boulangerie's "Oatmeal Cookie" candle. I usually try to stock up on these when they're on sale at Anthropologie and burn them throughout the Fall. The candle makes your entire house smell as though you have cookies baking in the oven -- and who doesn't love that?

Boulangerie "Oatmeal Cookie" candle: $16

Archipelago's "Clove" candle is another favorite that I've recently found. I actually purchase Archipelago candles from Gilt.com since they're usually discounted by at least 50% (and if you buy them at retail cost, they can be pretty pricey). I've tried a few different scents over the years, but Clove has become a fast favorite.

Regardless of what season it is, one candle that I constantly have burning in our home is Capri Blue's "Volcano" candle. It comes in a variety of colored jars and sizes to match your decor and the scent is incredible. It works for Summer or Fall and the mercury glass jars look gorgeous when burned at night. I stock up on these at Anthropologie. During the holidays, the candles also come in blue, red, and green jars for Hanukkah and Christmas.

Another bonus? Capri Blue recently expanded their line to include votives, pillar candlesdiffusers and even room spray. So if you prefer to scatter small votives throughout your house (I like to put them in the bathroom and hallway when we have guests over), you can now fill these votives with "Volcano" instead of scentless tea lights. I picked up a box of votives (and these pretty gold bubbled mercury glass holders) this weekend.

Capri Blue "Volcano" votives: $18; bubbled mercury glass votive holders: $5 each

Threshold's "Balsam and Spice" candle from Target is another that has a truly great holiday scent. Bonus? It's only $9.99 and comes in a gorgeous silver glass votive. It's currently sold out online but here's a similar one in the same scent. Great idea for stocking stuffers or hostess gifts!

Hope everyone has a great week!
