DIY

DIY Abstract.

Michelle Pulman

Lately, I've been searching for the perfect piece of art to hang in our master bathroom but have been coming up empty-handed. Either the piece doesn't work in the space, or it's perfect but way too expensive. So, rather than splurge on something, I decided to try and DIY my own!

Check out my recent post on Hoboken Girl for the full how-to!

Faux Marble Tray Hack.

Michelle Pulman

I've wanted to add a marble tray to our living room coffee table for some time, but spending $100+ on one just wasn't going to happen. So, I decided to create a hack version of my own! Check out my post on Hoboken Girl for the full how-to.

"Porcelain" Lamp DIY.

Michelle Pulman

A few years ago, I picked up a clear glass lamp at Homegoods for our living room. The lamp has a removable top, allowing you to fill it with whatever you want -- so I've had a lot of fun over the years placing different items and fillers inside the lamp.

Lately, I've really been into the look of porcelain lamps in different hues, so I decided to try my hand at creating my own DIY version. Check out my latest post on Hoboken Girl to see how I transformed a cheap glass lamp into something that looks like it came from an upscale boutique.

Michelle Pulman

Well, I've been looking for the perfect piece of furniture to put under our television in the bedroom for some time and finally came to the conclusion that the Ikea Tarva 5-Drawer Dresser was it! Read on to see how I hacked the Tarva into a piece of furniture that perfectly matches our master bedroom.

Valentine's Day "Love" Sign.

Michelle Pulman

Apart from the usual candy and flowers, we don't have much going on in the way of Valentine's Day decorations. Most store-bought decorations I've seen are either really cheesy or too "red" for my taste. So, I thought it would be fun to make my own that would match our decor and become a part of our holiday decorating tradition for years to come.

Good Morning & Good Night.

Michelle Pulman

The hardest part of designing Jake's nursery has been finding the right pieces of artwork to hang on the walls. For over Jake's crib, I originally hung a beloved Gray Malin print, but over the past few weeks, I've come to accept that sadly, it's really too small for that wall. So, I've been on the hunt for a new piece of art to hang over the crib, and since I had such success creating the Peter Pan quote, I thought I'd try my hand at DIY'ing something again...
