A few weeks ago, I decided to refurbish a tiny, baby-sized rocking chair that I had received as a gift from my grandparents for my first birthday. The chair was still sturdy and the perfect size for a nursery; the only thing it needed a new coat of paint. Here's what the chair originally looked like:
While I love the original color white, I decided to stick with the nursery's monochromatic color scheme and paint the chair the same Krylon "Smoke Gray" spray paint that was used on the rocking horse that I fixed up a few weeks earlier.
Fixing up this chair was simple because I didn't have to sand the piece down or glue/tighten any of its parts. I just brought the piece outside and gave it two coats of paint (waiting about 30 min between each coat). Then I left it outside to dry overnight. The new coat of paint makes the piece look brand new, and the color could not be more perfect for the nursery. Here are a few shots of the finished product:
I hope to reveal the full nursery soon. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
