When we first moved into our condo, we purchased this popular open shelving unit from Ikea (which was just recently discontinued) for our living room -- and I have to say, I've loved having it in our home! However, despite how versatile this piece is, it simply isn't baby-friendly. So, I'm now on the hunt for a sturdier replacement piece that will tie in nicely with the rest of our furniture while still providing adequate living room storage.
Read MoreLately, Target has totally been on point with its rug collection. Between collaborations with Nate Berkus, Safavieh, Threshold and Mudhut, there are more than enough fabulous rugs to fill any home (and to fit any budget).
Read on for my top picks (and the ones I would have already pulled the trigger on if only we had more bare floors...)
Read MoreDid you know that Emily & Meritt have just released their very first capsule for Pottery Barn Kids?! The collection is full of metallics, bold patterns, and vintage-inspired touches. If Jake's nursery wasn't already complete, I'd be all over this... See below for my very favorite pieces from the collection:
Read MoreHanukkah has past and we now have less than one week until Christmas! I usually try to decorate for the holidays just after Thanksgiving so we can enjoy the festivities for as long as possible -- but I've found myself completely behind this year. I guess a new baby will do that to you... But with that said, better late than never! Here's a look at how our home is (finally) decorated for the season.
Read MoreWith the nursery complete, there remained just one thing left to tackle: the closet. So, we did a quick purge of the space and started from scratch.
The first thing I purchased was an Ikea Kallax unit in white, to provide extra shelving and storage. I placed the unit on the ground inside the closet and added cute gray and white striped baskets from Land of Nod to transform the open shelving into "drawers."

Living in New York City and converting an office/guest room into a nursery is always a challenge, but I think we were able to come up with some really great ideas using pieces of furniture she already owns and a few accents to round out the space.
Read MoreIt's November and my due date is officially 3 weeks away(!), which means that it's time to finally reveal the nursery that I designed for Baby Pulman! A few months ago, I shared an inspiration board that highlighted the color scheme and a few items I was considering for the room. In the end, I actually ended up sticking pretty closely to that original board, designing a modern nursery in shades of blue, green, gray, and white.
Read MoreI can finally say that the nursery is nearly complete so I should be ready to share a reveal within the next week or so! The only thing that's missing is a piece of artwork to fill a large blank wall over a sofa in the room.
Read MoreHalloween is one of my favorite holidays, but with everything going on at the moment, I feel like I'm totally behind in terms of decorating (and even finding a costume!). But since we're one week out and the temperature has finally started to cool down, I wanted to share how we've been decorating around the house. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Read MoreWhen I first found out I was pregnant, I knew that I wanted to create a very special nursery for our baby. So when it was confirmed we were having a boy, I immediately got to work brainstorming color schemes, themes (did we even need one??), and the overall mood that I wanted the room to evoke.

When planning the move to Hoboken, I knew that decorating our new home would be a really exciting (and daunting!) project. For the past five years, we had lived in small 1BR Manhattan apartments with limited space, nearly non-existent kitchens, poor natural light, and white plaster walls. Buying a new home across the Hudson not only gave us more square footage, but also the freedom to finally customize as we saw fit.
