A Homework Desk for Ava.

Ava has been asking for a homework desk in her room for a few months now so I decided it was finally time to turn a corner of her bedroom into a little study spot!

We originally had her acrylic dollhouse bookcase along this wall so I moved it to the opposite side of the room, which left us with a small open nook. Her room is a little tight so options were limited but I really wanted a desk that felt like her and could also grow with her over the years (I certainly don’t want to buy a desk more than once!).

There are SO many cute desk and chair options for kids right now — you can really have fun with it! Below are a few that I found and really liked….

We finally settled on this gorgeous sage green parsons desk, which fits her room like a glove and also has two drawers for storage. The size is perfect and the color is even more beautiful in person.

I love the reeded paneling along the sides and the simple design. It coordinates with the rest of her furniture and she absolutely loves it.

Since we spent a bit on this desk, I didn’t want to invest too much in a chair but found this great little swivel chair on Amazon (it comes in a ton of colors, we have the cream boucle!). So far, it’s been really great and she’s so thrilled with the setup.

Next, we’’ll be adding a pinboard over her desk so she can display all of her favorite things. Stay tuned!
