Rugs Throughout My Home
One of the questions I get asked most often is where I find the rugs throughout our home, so I thought it would be fun to round them all up in one place! Rugs are one of my favorite design elements because they instantly make a space feel warmer, more inviting, and thoughtfully finished. Whether you're decorating a busy family room, a cozy bedroom, or even a hardworking laundry room, the right rug can completely transform the look and feel of a space. And if you follow me on Instagram, you know that rugs are constantly being swapped and moved around in my home because it’s truly the easiest way to give a space a little refresh.
Over the years, I've learned that choosing a rug isn't just about finding a pretty pattern. Size, texture, durability, and color all play a huge role in how a room functions day to day. Since every room in our home serves a different purpose, I've selected rugs that fit each space while still creating a cohesive look throughout the house.
Today, I'm taking you on a room-by-room tour of our home, sharing each rug, why I chose it, and what I love most about it. If you've ever asked me where a rug is from, chances are you'll find it here!

We spend a lot of time in our den as a family, so I wanted a rug that felt soft, timeless, and practical enough for everyday life. I almost always gravitate toward neutral rugs with subtle texture because they create a beautiful foundation without competing with the furniture or décor. One tip I always recommend is choosing the largest rug that your space allows. It helps anchor your furniture, makes the room feel bigger, and creates a much more custom look.
Your entryway is the first impression of your home, so I wanted this space to feel warm and welcoming from the moment someone walks through the door. A vintage-inspired rug adds so much character while still being durable enough to handle muddy shoes, packages, and everyday traffic. Choosing a low pile rug here makes it easy to clean while still adding plenty of style. And the small size makes it easy for me to actually toss into the washing machine (which I know it’s recommended but I do it all the time! Just hang to dry…)
Hallways are easy to overlook, but adding a runner completely changes the feel of the space. It helps connect rooms throughout the home while adding warmth and softness to hardwood floors. I love keeping runners neutral so they flow naturally into the surrounding spaces without feeling too busy and this one here is one of my favorites. I’m comfortable spending more on a rug in an area like an upstairs hallway because we’re less likely to track dirt or drop food on it. I love this one and it’s held up perfectly for over five years now!
Just because it's a laundry room doesn't mean it shouldn't feel beautiful. This room already has so much personality, so I wanted a rug that complemented the wallpaper while adding another layer of texture. It's amazing how something as simple as a mini rug can make everyday chores feel a little more enjoyable. I love the bold patterns on this one!
A bedroom should always feel like a retreat, so softness was my biggest priority here. I chose a neutral rug with a subtle pattern that adds warmth without overwhelming our guest bedroom. There's nothing better than stepping onto a cozy rug first thing in the morning or before you fall asleep at night.

I love using rugs in kids' bedrooms to soften the space while adding another layer of design. This rug works beautifully with the soft color palette and playful details while still being practical enough for everyday life. Choosing timeless patterns also means the room can easily grow with her. Another thing worth mentioning about this rug in particular is that it’s a Cloudpile rug, which means its SO SOFT under your feet. You honestly need to just try to it and thank me later. There’s absolutely nothing softer than this rug!

For this room, I wanted something classic, durable, and easy to live with. The exact rug that's in this space is no longer available because I bought it ten years ago, but I linked a very similar style from the same brand that has the same timeless look and durability (and you know it’s going to last because we’ve had this one for 10 years of baby and little kid action!). I love this rug for a kid's bedroom or playroom because it’s playful and fun without feeling too kiddie. It also comes in a neutral cream color if you aren’t a fan of blue!
The playroom is one of the busiest rooms in our home, so durability was a must. A large rug helps define the space while creating a soft place for the kids to play, build, read, and spend time together. It's one of those rooms where comfort and function are equally important and one day when the play gym is gone, this rug will work just as beautifully for a big kid or teen hangout space.

Our media room is one of our favorite gathering spaces, so I wanted a rug that made the room feel especially cozy. Just like the rug in Ava’s bedroom, this is another Cloudpile rug, which makes our movie night so cozy! It has a subtle pattern that adds texture without competing with the furniture and it was the very first thing that I ordered for our new basement!
Even our game room needed a rug! Large open spaces can sometimes feel unfinished and I don’t love the feel of furniture “floating” without a rug to ground it. This rug is nice and neutral (and affordable) and really helps to define the area while keeping it cozy. It's proof that every room benefits from a thoughtfully chosen rug.
I hope this little tour of our home gave you some inspiration for your own spaces! Rugs are one of my favorite investments because they completely change the feel of a room while adding warmth, texture, and personality. I've linked every rug featured throughout our home below, along with a few similar options in case you're looking for something in a different size, color, or price point.
