A Look at the Loloi Rugs Throughout Our Home

If you’ve followed along for a while, you know how much I appreciate a good rug. It’s one of those pieces that can completely change the way a room feels, adding warmth, texture, pattern, and helping everything else in the space feel connected.

Over the years, I’ve found myself coming back to Loloi again and again because their rugs have that layered, collected look I’m always drawn to. Hallways, entries, mudrooms, and kitchens are exactly where a hard-working rug earns its keep. These are the spaces we walk through constantly, so I want something that looks beautiful but doesn’t feel too precious.

I love the simplicity of this stripe in the entry. It adds just enough pattern to define the space while keeping everything relaxed and understated.

A runner is such an easy way to soften a long hallway. It makes a narrow space feel more intentional and adds warmth without needing another piece of furniture or accessory.

And I’m always a fan of mixing patterns. The key for me is keeping the palette connected. Here, the rug, striped bench cushion, and floral pillow all have their own personality, but the softer neutral tones help everything work together.

The kitchen may be one of my favorite places for a runner. With so many hard surfaces, cabinetry, stone, stainless steel, and wood, a rug brings in a much-needed softer layer. I especially love a vintage-inspired pattern in here because it gives the room a little age and character.

One of the things I appreciate most about these Loloi outdoor rugs is how well they work in the spaces that actually get used every day. Even in a hardworking area like this, the rug adds softness underfoot while still feeling practical enough for real life, spills, foot traffic, and all.

Of course, this is where an outdoor rug really gets to shine. I approach our outdoor spaces the same way I approach the rooms inside. I want them to feel layered, comfortable, and like an extension of our home rather than an afterthought.

Adding a rug under an outdoor dining table instantly makes the space feel more like a room. I love how this neutral pattern defines the dining area while still letting all of the natural wood tones and greenery do their thing.

This is probably my favorite example of what an outdoor rug can do. The entire seating area feels warmer and more inviting with that extra layer underneath. It takes a collection of outdoor furniture and turns it into a true outdoor living room.

Beyond The Main Living Spaces

I also love using rugs in the rooms that are a little more casual. A basement, game room, or playroom doesn’t have to be treated as an afterthought. These are some of the hardest-working rooms in the house, which makes them a great place for a rug that can stand up to everyday life.

The larger rug helps anchor the sectional and gives the whole room a much cozier feel. Because the pattern is subtle, it creates a foundation without competing with the furniture, art, or accessories.

Even a game space benefits from a rug. It softens all of those harder surfaces and helps the room feel connected to the rest of the house rather than purely functional.

And in a playroom, I want something comfortable, practical, and forgiving. There is already plenty of personality happening in this room, so I love that the rug adds texture and pattern without overwhelming the space.

Why I Keep Coming Back to Loloi

The best rugs, in my opinion, are the ones that become part of the foundation of a room. I love pieces that bring warmth, texture, and character to a space while still giving me the flexibility to switch out pillows, artwork, and accessories over time.
