Front Entry Refresh With Minted.

Our front entryway has always been an awkward spot to decorate, which is why I’ve left it completely empty for so long!

We have a long, blank wall that you see as soon as you walk in the front door but it’s never been deep enough for a console table and I didn’t want to clutter it up with a coat rack. Recently, the thought came to me to hang an oversized pairing of artwork, which would fill the wall and add interest without taking up any floor space and that’s what I plan to share with you all today!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll probably recognize our den (or front room), which is one of the first rooms that you see when you enter our home and is just across from our large entryway wall. Last year, I hung a large gallery wall in our den (composed entirely of Minted art), which absolutely completed the space. The art transformed a previously bare room into a space that now feels cozy and interesting and curated. It’s my favorite room in our home and really, it’s all because of the art that we hung in there.

So similarly, I knew that art on our entryway wall would complete the space. My problem was that I couldn’t commit to a pairing that felt right. The wall is BIG, which meant that we needed two fairly large pieces to fill the space. Minted makes it easy to shop for art in general but one of my favorite features on Minted.com is the ability to easily search for limited edition fine art pairings. There’s actually a dedicated section on Minted.com featuring pairings and groupings of art that coordinate perfectly together, making it simple to find two or three pieces to fill an empty space in your home.

I browsed the site and found so many unique designs by a community of independent artists that I loved. The problem was that I didn’t want anything too bold that might compete with our gallery wall just across from it. Below are a few pairings that caught my eye:

While browsing the pairings, I kept coming back to Black Plant II from artist Alissa Galitsyna, which was already a focal point of our gallery wall (you can see it here). I just love this piece. It was the very first print that I chose for the gallery wall and I planned the rest of the room around it.

Since I knew that I loved this piece so much, I figured it might actually look even better pulled from the gallery wall and displayed on its own wall (with its pair!). I quickly ordered Black Plant I (which is a beautiful inverted version of Black Plant II) and then I was all set!

Well, sort of… because if I was going to remove my favorite print from our gallery wall, I needed to replace it with something special. I browsed Minted.com some more and immediately fell in love with Riley, a moody landscape that just felt perfect for our den. Deep blues and greens that pulled so nicely from our rug and sofa – it was meant to be! I ordered it along with Black Plant and finally, I was all set.

The prints arrived quickly and I immediately swapped Riley into our gallery wall. It fits in perfectly with the room and just in time for fall, pulls all the moody colors that I was hoping to feel in this room. I love it so much.

Then I got to hanging the pairing on our entryway wall and gosh… what a difference these two pieces made! As a reminder, here’s a look at what our entryway previously looked like:

… and here’s a look at what our entryway looks like now!

This art pairing absolutely completes our entryway and fills the wall without making the space feel too busy. They also complement the gallery wall just across the hall without competing with it and just like that, the front rooms of our home are done!

While I personally love shopping for art, I also understand how overwhelming it can sometimes feel. Did you know that you can always text a photo of your wall to 415-993-WALL (9255) and a Minted stylist will text you back art recommendations that perfectly fit your space for free?! Minted makes art styling so easy.

Here are a few photos of our finished entryway. So cozy, right?!

I also shared a little reel earlier today, which you can watch HERE.

Minted was kind enough to give me a promo code to share with all of you! Code MICHELLEART20 will give you 20% off + free shipping on all framed fine art prints :) Click HERE to shop!

A huge thank you to Minted for partnering with me on this project. I’m so in love with how our entryway turned out!
