A Blue and White Gender Neutral Nursery.

If you know me, you know that my love for wallpaper runs deep and I’ll rarely pass up an opportunity to paper an entire room. So when one of my long-time clients asked me to help her design a gender-neutral nursery for her third child, I jumped at the opportunity to create a space that felt happy, fun. and warm.

We almost immediately settled on this whimsical wallpaper from Pepper Home (one of my favorite brands to shop for unique wallpaper and fabric).

From there, we decided to stick to a blue, white and cream palette and layered in brass accents for extra pop. I love the beautifully classic Jenny Lind furniture so we added a dresser and coordinating crib and also had room to include a daybed, which my client already owned.

Linen curtains in the perfect shade of cornflower blue complement the wallpaper without matching perfectly, and we found a really fun bone inlay mirror as a statement piece on the focal wall where you walk in. I always try to include a good mix of high and low — in this case, the wallpaper and the curtains are on the higher end, but the acrylic bookshelves, plug-in sconce and rocker are truly affordable!

I love how this room turned out! It’s the perfect nursery but will also grow with the child (can’t you picture this room with art and posters on the walls in a few years?!

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
