Product Roundup: Unique Baby Finds.

With baby #2, I’ve been generally good about not purchasing too many things since we have SO much from Jacob that can be reused (yes, this little girl will be wearing white, grey, and light blue for the first 9 months of her life and I’m totally ok with that).

But with that said, there are a few products that I’ve found over the years that have been SO GOOD (and are so beautiful), that I’ve decided to pick up a new one or two for baby #2 — and wanted to share them with you all as well.

  1. I’ve fallen in love with Gathre mats — which come in an array of colors, styles and sizes. Perfect as on-the-go changing mats, but also great for under high chairs, outdoor picnics, and tablecloths. They’re made of bonded leather so they’re extremely soft, beautiful and wipe clean! We have a Midi that we use all the time to protect the table from messy arts and crafts projects, and I’m planning to pick up a couple of Micros for on-the-go diaper changes for #2.

  2. I also absolutely love the pom pom swaddle blankets from CharleyCharlesShop. They’re made of gauze, so truly breathable, and come in an array of colors and styles (you can even customize them if you don’t see the exact color combination you’re looking for!). Jacob still likes to sleep with his, so they’ve become a go-to baby gift for friends — and naturally, I’ve already stocked up on a few for the baby. While you’re perusing the shop, I also love the pom pom bibs that she makes — they’re seriously adorable!

  3. Another baby must-have (and wonderful gift idea) are the dolls from Cuddle+Kind, which are handcrafted by female artisans in Peru. Not only are they beautifully made, but they provide these women with fair trade income that allows them to care for their families and improve their lives. And as if that’s not enough, every doll purchased provides 10 meals to children in need. Oh, and the dolls are guaranteed for life so if anything happens, you can contact Cuddle+Kind for a replacement <3

  4. I know most people probably wouldn’t consider artwork a “baby must-have” but I can’t imagine a kid’s room or nursery without some kind of art on the walls! Some people gravitate toward animal prints, others cars or airplanes or even inspirational quotes. My absolute favorite place to collect artwork from is Minted because they have such a variety of pieces available (and sizes and framing can be totally customized). Favorite pieces include Runny Bunny, Three Stacked Whales, and Beautiful World.

  5. I stumbled across Savor.it.all keepsake boxes when Jacob was a baby and have since purchased others (a wedding one for my sister and a second baby box for #2!). They’re beautiful, hold a ton of important items, and keep everything safely together. I never have to worry about misplacing Jacob’s baby blanket, favorite Wubanub or hospital bracelet and the boxes are pretty enough to stand alone in plain sight.

  6. Last but certainly not least, I love the idea of handmade, heirloom-quality toys — so naturally nearly everything from BannorToys has caught my eye over the years. A few of my favorite products include their ABC 123 building blocks, personalized state rattles, and the bunny teether — but really, you can’t go wrong with anything that they make!
