Adding Valentine's Day Cheer to Kids' Spaces.

We celebrate lots of holidays around here and one of my favorite ways to decorate leading up to any event (or season) is to add a few special touches to the kids’ rooms.

While Jacob was in school, I swapped out all of his winter/holiday books on his bookshelves and replaced them with titles about Valentine’s Day and love. Here’s a look at Jacob’s reading corner after I cleared everything out. It’s a total blank slate:

After putting the holiday books back in his closet, I pulled out all of the Valentine’s Day reads from years past (along with a few new ones I picked up this past week)

Swapping books out for holidays and seasons is seriously the EASIEST thing to do and always ends up being so much fun. The kids LOVE it.

Next, I grabbed some pillows in cream and blush colors (I had these in our home already) and brought them into his room and also hung up some felt garland.

Nothing major, but just enough to refresh the reading nook and make it fun again (because new is always fun, right?!).

Below are some of ye favorite Valentine’s Day / love books for kids:

We actually had the felt garland for a few years now but there are so many similar options available online. I’m linking a few that caught my eye below (and they all ship quickly!):

Earlier this week, I shared a little reel on Instagram showing how I styled the room. You can watch it here.
